Kyra Minturn

 Kyraminturn Sedgwick was born on August 19 1965. She is an American actor and producer. She is most famous for her leading role as deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson on the TNT crime drama The Closer. Sedgwick was awarded two Emmy Awards in the years 2010 and 2007 for her portrayal of Johnson. The series ended after the seventh season. Sedgwick's performance as Madeline Wuntch in the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine is also notable. Sedgwick was nominated to an Golden Globe award in 1995 for her role on Something to Talk About. Her film credits include Oliver Stone's Born in July (1989), Cameron Crowe's Individuals (1992), Heart and Souls (1993), Phenomenon (1996) and What's Cooking (2000) as well as Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2011) are also among her many. Sedgwick was an New York City native, the daughter of Patricia Rosenwald (nee Rosenwald), an educator and family therapist, as well as Henry Dwight Sedgwick VI as a venture capitalist. Her mother was Jewish, and her father was Episcopalian. She was also of English descent. Sedgwick has announced that she's Jewish and is a part of Passover dinners.
